Love games and want a single location to stop and choose from over 2300? Access the myspace/online games at RedPython.com. You’ll be overwhelmed. You can even add the games to your profile at the likes of Xanga, Friendster, Orkut and other locations. How simple is it? Just copy and paste the appropriate code at the page bottom and you have it.
So what exactly will you find when you visit red python?
First of all, the games are divided by categories to help you find the kind of game that you enjoy the most. Top rated games are listed first, along with categories that include random, action arcade, shooting, sports, puzzle, racing, other media, and video movies.
Not only do they list redpython’s library of games, but you’ll find links to the Xgames and other game sites, giving you more and more choices for entertainment.
If you’re not sure about the game and want to know more about it, many of the games have player ratings that tell what they liked, and didn’t, about a particular listing. This may help in narrowing your choices a little faster.
Here are just a sampling of the games you’ll find at redpython.com. For those of you who like a mental challenge, the puzzle section includes the math puzzle craze Sudoku. Test your powers of concentration as you try to figure out varying levels of this international favorite.
Or maybe you like a little less math and more logic. The ultimate jewel works somewhat like the popular board game Connects, in attempting to line up like jewels 4 in a row. It’s harder than it looks!
How about the sports nut out there? The worldwide favorite, soccer is there, along with other non-ball related sports, such as BraapBraap - the multi-player motocross game and Jetski challenge. Many of these games have 3-D imaging, giving it a more life-like and more exciting look. Are you a duffer? Play mini Putt Putt for your personal best or play in a worldwide competition mode. Many of the sports games allow you to play against yourself or join in a worldwide network of competition.
Picturing yourself as a Nascar circuit driver? In the racing category, there are lots of chances to test your skills. Crazy Loop or Whiskey Liskey might be for you. If you like a little more daring challenge, give the dirt bike racing a try. While you might take a few spills, no bandages will be required!
Maybe you’re a card shark. Play against the house or other competitors with the loads of card games available.
No matter what your game, you’ll be sure and find it at http://redpython.com.

Java Online Games
Title:
Java Online Games
After Shockwave, Java is the most popular tool for developing free online games. It is a popular programming language which was developed by James Gosling during the 1990s. It is somewhat related to C++ but is much more simple, and is an object oriented language. Java was developed because C++ was considered to be too complex and when using it there were many errors.
C++ also lacked the ability for distributed programming. Gosling and his colleagues wanted to produce a system that could be used on various platforms, from computer to handheld devices. By 1994 Java begin to be used on the internet. They felt that the internet would become interactive, and this would be the perfect environment to use their programming language. They were right. Java has become one of the most well known platforms in use today on the internet.
Many developers of free online games have quickly realized its potential. While Shockwave has replaced Java as the most popular engine used for online games, Java is still the tool of choice among many developers. Java became very popular when Netscape decided to support the program with their browsers. Most people use Java by the "applets" which are supported by their online browsers.
Yahoo has often been credited with heavily using Java to produce online games. Yahoo games is the portion of their website in which players can play games by themselves or against other players. While most of these games are Java applets, others have to be downloaded onto the computer. Reviews are even featured where users can post their thoughts about the quality of the game. Yahoo is one of the most prominent promoters of free online games. Everything from fantasy sports to card games are available.
Despite this, there are some criticisms of the Java programming language. Shockwave has a 3D engine which is much more powerful, and many developers have chose it rather than Java. Others complain that it is not a very pure object oriented programming language. Those who dislike object oriented languages will not design free online games with Java. Programs written in Java may also run slower than programs written in other languages.
Despite these complaints, Java has become one of the most popular languages used for developing independent games. Advances in this language should allow it to produce games which are much higher in quality and graphical detail. Many popular games can be played at the Java website.

How to download and play free arcade games
The arcade games business has grown rapidly during the last couple of years and is still expanding quiet quickly. Nowadays the arcade games are also known as causal games. The so called games for non-hardcore gamers have seen a surge in sales when Nintendo Wii came out. With its user-friendly controller and a $249 price tag, it’s a booming success. For example, on the week of Thanksgivings (the so called Black Friday 7 day holiday), Nintendo has sold more than a million of Wii’s.
With the Wii, you can actually play free online games. Just point your browser to http://playedonline.com and use your Wiimote as the mouse in hundreds of awesome flash based games. It’s really surprising how unintentionally Nintendo made a console that can handle so much.
First of all, it is a gaming console that allows you to play games using motion sensing technology. Then it has all these neat community tools that let you create a 3D Avatar and use it in your games. These avatars are also how people see you while playing online games. On top of that, there are several Channels that let you read news and watch weather forecasts.
But the best feature of all for arcade lovers is the web browser. It support full YouTube integration and lets you play pretty much any Flash Media. Meaning that you can play flash movies and games.
Here’s what you need to do:
Launch your Wii, press the Opera Browser button.
Once loaded, point it to http://playedonline.com
There, use the Wiimote to navigate through the different menus and whatnot, find your favorite genre. With flash based games these are usually Strategy, Shooting, Puzzle, Arcade, Sports and Adventure genres, but from time to time you see something totally unique and exciting.
Now, when you’ve decided what to play, simply click on the name of the game. It will start loading automatically. Please be patient as sometimes it takes a while for these fairly large files to load.
Also, the Wii’s browser is a bit outdated right now, so don’t be too terrified if a game doesn’t run. You can always try another one. And remember – you can play online games for free here! So by not paying anything, you don’t really lose anything, right?
The other thing about playing arcade games on the Wii is that using the Wiimote it becomes a very emerging experience, even with the cartoonish graphics. And considering that most of these games require you to only make a single click, it’s a great way to simply get away from it all. And you also bump up your arm when swinging the Wiimote.
Although you can easily play all of these free arcade games on your PC. And they are just as good on that “platform”. But Kudos to Nintendo for bringing free arcade entertainment to the living room – if only there was more innovation amongst other games hardware developers.

How To Cheaply Produce And Market Online Games
I've talked to many artists and programmers who have said they would like to produce free online games. Many of these individuals are talented, but lack the college degree, connections, or capital necessary to design their own games. In this article I will explain a growing trend, and how you can produce quality online games for a low cost.
The console game industry has continued to increase the price for their products in recent years. Brand new games for the Xbox 360 now cost $60 each. The cost involved with developing games for the Xbox or Playstation is too much for most people. Only well established companies with lots of resources are able to produce games for these consoles. This puts the independent developer in a position where it is difficult to compete.
However, the rise of the internet has made producing free online games much easier. It is now possible for a independent developer to hire both programmers and designers to create an online game. How can this be done? When you hear of outsourcing in the news, you often think of fortune 500 companies. In reality, even small business people can outsource by using the internet. It is possible to find programmers in India, China, or Eastern Europe who can write code for very affordable prices. The same is true for designers.
With a budget of only a few thousand dollars, it is possible for you to produce free online games. You could hire programmers and designers via forums, and once you have designed the game you can cheaply advertise it via the internet. You could use text link or banner advertising. You could upload samples of your game onto P2P networks. Many of these advertising methods are low cost or free of charge. You could also use Adwords to market your product.
The internet makes it possible for small groups to produce quality games and compete with large companies. Before the rise of the internet this was impossible, and most people had to go work for large corporations if they wanted to produce video games.
It is also possible to build a website where you allow people to play the game free of charge. This could allow you to build a gaming community where you can earn income from advertising. There are no limits to the types of free online games you can produce on the internet. The only thing that limits you is your imagination.

Classic Puzzle Games Online
Some of the best puzzles games of our time are now available for free online. Some of them are just old classics that have made the transition to the Internet, while others focus on upgrading the old puzzle games to offer new challenges to a new generation of gamers. The great thing is that these are all games which can be played by just about anyone. The concepts involved are kindergarten level, but they require a swift mind to actually master. Anyone with some time to kill should take a few minutes and look online for a puzzle game or two.
There are plenty of old classics available online in one of many new flash arcades. This means that you can play your favorites whenever you want without shelling out any cash. That’s pretty nice, especially since I have deep issues with paying money for something that challenges my mind. Tetris is one of the many puzzle games that has jumped online. Everyone should at least have a basic knowledge of Tetris. You line the blocks up as they fall. If you make a neat row it disappears. This beautiful concept has been in our minds since we first knew about shapes, but it isn’t as easy to do as one might think. Try organizing somewhat random shapes when they’re falling really fast. It can be a lot of fun to properly plan out all of your blocks so that your neat stacks don’t fall into chaos.
There are new versions of these puzzles games online too though. New additions, such as Bejeweled, have actually gotten enough interest to warrant retail releases. The online versions are good enough though. These games take some of the basics of old Tetris-based games and upgrade them for a new generation. In general, they focus more on forming patterns out of random assortments. Line up similar objects, colors, shapes, etc. and they’ll disappear. This changes things considerably though, as the pace starts off at full speed. One has to start thinking and clicking as quickly as possible to keep the board under control. One mistake can cost you a lot of points or even the game. I will admit that this style of puzzle game may be too annoying or fast-paced for some people. It is definitely something different though, and the focus on mental and physical reflexes adds a new level to puzzle gaming. Any gamer should at least give this developing genre a chance.
That’s really the beauty of it too. Just about any gamer can pick up a puzzle game and understand the concept. It’s just matching up shapes or colors, which you probably learned back in kindergarten or first grade. The nice factor is that you end up with a standard “minutes to learn, a lifetime to master” setup, where you may understand the rules but not all the nuances. This leaves something good to come back for later.
If you want to introduce a friend to online gaming, puzzle games may be the best step. They can usually be pretty forgiving and easy to learn, so they’ll act as a good way to get a new gamer’s feet wet. In the end, it does come down to preference though. If you like to play puzzle games, then you should definitely look for your old favorites online while keeping an eye out for a new game to add to the lineup. They’re just a good way for a person to give their mind a little bit of exercise in those spare minutes of the day.
