Who Will Win the Online Movie Rental War

Online DVD rentals are becoming more and more popular with consumers as people move away from VHS, become more comfortable generally with buying online, get sick and tired of paying for higher and higher movie ticket prices.

Online DVD rentals are both a fast and convenient way to rent movies.  Online DVD film rental companies allow a person to rent and buy DVD movies online through the mail. Normally, a customer interacts with the DVD rental company via the Internet and receives the films ordered via regular mail.

<b>How DVD film rental works</b>

DVD film rental companies operate on the following model: A new customer joins the DVD rental service and creates a list of good movies they will like to rent, This is called there Q or Queue, and next the DVD rental company sends movies from the customers list by regular mail, finally the customer receives the films, views them and sends them back and receives another film from list.

The two top companies right now are Blockbuster & Netflix. Both of them have there avenges and offer basically the same thing. But in my option I love Blockbuster, just for the mere sake that after I watch the online rentals I can go to the Blockbuster right across the street and exchange them for more movies or games.

But for more details you should check out both of them and decide which one is will meet your needs better.
Both Blockbuster & Netflix offer a free DVD film rental trail, but at the end of this article I’m show you how to try the free trial.

<b>Blockbuster DVD Film Rental</b>

Although the first online rental company has to be Netfilx. Netflix quickly became popular with the renting movies by mail, but when Blockbuster start there movies by mail service, they quickly over took Netflix. By offering an easy to use, quick and affordable solution to Netflix.

<b>My 3 Reasons Why</b>

The reason I don't use Netflix and won't advice anyone to use its service is because their service is expensive, DVD delivery is slow and they don't provide coupons as often as Blockbuster does.

Another reason I use Blockbuster to rent and buy DVD movies on-line is because they provide free movie and game rental coupons to users each month.

The last reason I love Blockbuster's service is their fast and efficient delivery of DVD rentals, they have an arrangement with USPS that enables Blockbuster to electronically register DVD's refund before they actually arrive their office. This saves time for both Blockbuster and their users benefit from greater turn-around time for their next DVD rental.

If you are looking for an efficient, reliable and affordable Online DVD film rental service, I highly recommend Blockbuster online DVD rental.

Who is Batman?

Batman is the secret identity and alter ego of billionaire industrialist, Bruce Wayne. The fictional superhero introduced by DC Comics in 1939 has become one of the most iconic and recognized superheroes. Unlike most other superheroes such as Superman, Spiderman, or the X-Men, Batman does not possess any supernatural or superhuman powers. His main skills include his detective skills, technology and advanced weapons, intellect, and an obsessive pursuit of Justice.

Although Batman’s story has varied slightly overtime, the theme of his parents death and his resulting pursuit of justice have remained the same. Bruce Wayne was the son of billionaires and philanthropists who were murdered during a robbery. The witnessing of his parent’s murder as a child leads him to become Batman. Wayne swears to avenge his parent’s death by ridding the city of evil and begins training, both physically and intellectually. His studies and skills include his intellect, detective skills, martial arts, conditioning, escapology, and chemistry.

The character Batman has made the jump from comic book to other world media and popular culture including a newspaper comic strip, books, radio dramas, animated television series’, television movies, and multiple major motion pictures, including Tim Burton’s 1989 adaptation of Batman starring Michael Keaton and Jack Nicholson. Batman has also appeared in multiple video games, board games, toys, and even as a stunt show and ride at Six Flags theme parks.

What is movie and movie history

Movie is a term that encompasses individual motion pictures, the field of movie as an art form, and the motion picture industry. Movies are produced by recording images from the world with cameras, or by creating images using animation techniques or special effects.

Movies are cultural artifacts created by specific cultures, which reflect those cultures, and, in turn, affect them. Movie is considered to be an important art form, a source of popular entertainment, and a powerful method for educating — or indoctrinating — citizens. The visual elements of cinema give motion pictures a universal power of communication; some movies have become popular worldwide attractions by using dubbing or subtitles that translate the dialogue.

Traditional Movies are made up of a series of individual images called frames. When these images are shown rapidly in succession, a viewer has the illusion that motion is occurring. The viewer cannot see the flickering between frames due to an effect known as persistence of vision, whereby the eye retains a visual image for a fraction of a second after the source has been removed. Viewers perceive motion due to a psychological effect called beta movement.

The origin of the name "film" comes from the fact that photographic film (also called film stock) had historically been the primary medium for recording and displaying motion pictures. Many other terms exist for an individual motion picture, including picture, picture show, photo-play, flick, and most commonly, movie. Additional terms for the field in general include the big screen, the silver screen, the cinema, and the movies.

What Are the Best Movie Sites for Downloading Movies? It Depends on What You Are Looking For.

It all started with music. Early on, sites like Napster made it possible to download songs without purchasing an album. The problem was that these services – at the time – did not take copyright into consideration. People shared songs they liked and built their music collection. And, as time went on, this started to change. Subscription services came about; so did the opportunity to pay to download one song at a time.

Film lovers have started to see that this service should not be limited to music. In some cases, they recognize this because services like Apple's iTunes offer film in addition to music downloads. In other cases, people have gotten tired of trips to the video store or of waiting for films to arrive from a mail-based subscription service.

And, from Amazon.com to CinemaNow and Vongo, it's becoming increasingly easy to find sites for downloading movies. But which are the best movie sites for downloading movies? That depends on what you are looking for.

To begin with, are you looking for the best movie site for downloading recently released movies? If so, consider downloading movies from iTunes or from Amazon.com's Unbox service. With iTunes, you will have to purchase the movie in order to download it, but will be able to watch the movie on a Mac or Windows operation platform; downloading movies form Unbox will limit you to watching films on a computer operating Windows XP, but you will also have the opportunity to rent movie downloads.

Other movie sites that will allow rental as an option when you are downloading movies include Cinema Now, which is among the best movie sites for downloading movies if you want to be able to burn the movie to a DVD to watch on players other than your computer.

Aside from rentals and the ability to burn the movies that you've downloaded to a DVD, what other characteristics help to make a movie site the best?

One characteristic is the variety of movies that the site makes available for downloading. If you will be downloading foreign films, you will want to make sure that the movie site has a wide variety of options available for you. Similarly, if you want to be able to access new releases, the best movie sites for you will have a number of current films available.

In addition to having the films that you are looking for available to you, the best movie sites for downloading movies will offer you the ability to watch those movies on portable devices or with a player that you already have rather than requiring you to download their player.

Not only will the best movie sites make watching movies a convenient experience, but also they will provide you with movies that have been sampled at a high bitrate so that you will be able to watch a film with a high quality picture. And, because you are downloading movies because you want to watch them, the best movie sites will also provide high quality downloads that don't take all day.

In other words, there are a number of things to take into consideration when it comes to downloading movies. The first thing is the ability to download the movies rather than watching them as streaming content. The next is to be sure that you are downloading movies that you will be able to watch with the computer operating system that you have and that they will be of a high quality.

When you find the best movie site for downloading movies, you'll know it: the site will provide you with everything that you're looking for.

Wedding Crashers (DVD) Review

One of the funniest and most outrageous comedies of 2005, Wedding Crashers will have you falling out of your chair with laughter. Directed by the underrated David Dobkin, the film features now veteran Hollywood funny men Owen Wilson and Vince Vaughn in their first film together as the central headliners. TV writers Steve Faber and Bob Fisher author the screenplay, a breakout hit for both, that has to be considered one of the best written comedies of the year. Of course, it helps to have the perfect comic duo delivering the lines, and Wedding Crashers offers just that. The onscreen personas of Vaughn and Wilson compliment each other extremely well, providing a flux between the laid back approach of Wilson and the fast talking banter of Vaughn.

Wedding Crashers follows the lives of two business partners and best friends, John Beckwith (Owen Wilson) and Jeremy Grey (Vince Vaughn). Making their living as divorce counselors, they often mediate between warring couples. But in reality, neither man is married himself. They are, however, loyally dedicated to a set of principles: the wedding crasher rules. Adhering to a specific set of intricately engineered rules for crashing weddings, John and Jeremy share a common passion for wedding receptions and carefree bridesmaids.

When the new wedding season arrives, the two set out in earnest to schmooze with relatives, deliver masterful toasts, and conquer as many beautiful women as possible. No race, religion, or social caste is left untouched by their elite wedding crashing skills. But as the wedding season comes to a close with the ultimate crescendo, the wedding of Treasury Secretary William Cleary’s (Christopher Walken) daughter, the duo’s perfectly laid plans go awry. While chasing after the Secretary’s remaining two daughters, Claire (Rachel McAdams) and Gloria (Isla Fisher), the unthinkable occurs. John breaks a rule by harboring genuine feelings for Claire. Things are further exacerbated when John breaks another rule and accepts an invitation to spend the weekend with the Cleary family so he can get closer to Claire. Masquerading as distant relatives, John must fend off the advances of Claire’s mother Kathleen (Jane Seymour) while also attempting to eliminate Claire’s pompous boyfriend Zach (Bradley Cooper). Meanwhile, Jeremy is tortured by an extended weekend with the clingy and borderline insane Gloria and her crazy brother Todd (Keir O’Donnell). As John gets closer to falling in love with Claire, Zach gets closer to blowing the lid off their wedding crasher conspiracy…

Utterly hilarious in every way, Wedding Crashers features some of the funniest movie scenes of 2005. A brief appearance by Will Ferrell who plays the role of Chazz Reinhold, one of the original wedding crashers, makes the film doubly hilarious. Apparently, Chazz has discovered that grieving women at funerals are easier to pick up than bridesmaids. So, of course, he turns to funeral crashing. The comic sequence where Vince Vaughn gets demolished playing football is ancient slapstick, but hilarious nonetheless. Isla Fisher can be annoying at times, but her character is so ridiculously insane that it become funny to watch her after a while, and some of the pick-up lines and wedding crasher techniques are just as entertaining. Overall, Wedding Crashers is a film you’ll probably want to watch more than once. If anything, just to catch the laughs you missed the first time around…

Want a Movie Get a Player

Songs and music files are not the only items being shared and downloaded on the Internet.  Movie files have become extremely popular, though generally not very legal until recently.  The proliferation in technology in general, and among high school and college aged students in particular, has led to a boom in file swapping, which has also led to the trading of movie files, and the demand for movie downloads on the Internet.  There were always a lot of sites to find free movie downloads, though there was always a question of legality.  Now there are some legal sites to not just rent, but actually buy and download movies.  Some of the major companies in this business even advertise themselves as the first legal companies to allow movie downloads.

One of the problems that someone wanting to download movies from the Internet may run into is different files and formats.  First off, if you have a computer, you probably already have some type of a potential movie player on your system.  If it is an apple then most likely you have a QuickTime Player.  If not, then you should know that a QuickTime Player is a good movie program that, though it will function on non-Apple computers, this is a program that was designed to function at maximum capacity with the Apple systems.  Any other type of computer will almost certainly have Microsoft programming on it, which means that the far majority of computers in the world will have a Windows Media Player, which can be used to view movies, though that does not mean that every movie will be compatible with the player.

Many movies available for download are designed for the DivX system.  DivX also comes in many software bundles, and was one of the early programs used to view and collect movies on the computer.  Another free movie player that is common is the Real Player.  This can be used to view all kinds of movies, and is somewhat similar to the QuickTime Player, though it is not designed specifically for any computer system, though it is designed with the specific purpose of showing movies.  There are other programs such as Winamp, which was designed more for music, but has a movie/video viewing option.

The best idea is to go to find a reputable web site where you feel comfortable downloading movies and see what the requirements are there.  See what their requirements are and go from there, then prepare to enjoy your movies!

Walk The Line Movie Review

A real legend is...well, the stuff of legends. But much harder to reproduce on film, because of the depths of human expression that tend to get lost in the business of making it on time, on budget, and on a subject the public will "buy". Which means 2005's "Walk The Line" is that rarest of movies, one that dug deep into the story, put it up as it really unfolded, and managed to bag actors that could carry it off.

"Walk The Line" is the hard fighting/drinking/loving story of country icon, Johnny Cash and his love affair with wife June Carter. It lays the foundation for the movie's focus, and Cash's real life, by detailing his boyhood in Arkansas, the early death of a brother, and impulsive first marriage that ended in disaster. All of that contributes to the way Cash's life was already drifting when he sang for Sam Phillips of Sun Records, where he brushed shoulders with another newcomer, Elvis Presley. Chastised for offering a hymn, Joaquin Phoenix rips off a version of Folsom Prison Blues that snags him the prized contract, and sets his foot on a path that will lead him to depths he never dreamed of, and the woman who would pull him out of then, June Carter.

Both Phoenix, and Reese Witherspoon who plays June Carter, did their own vocals, which added immeasurably to the reality of their performances. Witherspoon at times was perhaps a tad too ebullient, but also managed to reach inside herself to pull out both the feminine side of Carter, and her fury at Cash's moral and physical deterioration as their relationship progressed from an initial backstage meeting to the final, enduring chapter written at the Folsom Prison concert.

Not strictly a love story, "Walk the Line" is nonetheless a sometimes moving, infuriating, and emotionally charged tale of two people both struggling towards the same goal- to be with each other.

Director: James Mangold
Producers: Alan C. Blomquist, James Keach, Cathy Konrad
Starring: Joaquin Phoenix, Reese Witherspoon, Ginnifer Goodwin, Robert Patrick, Ginnifer Goodwina

Walk The Line (DVD) Review

Nominated for five Academy Awards, and winner of the Oscar for Best Actress (Reese Witherspoon), Walk The Line chronicles the life and times of legendary country music star Johnny Cash with an intense, and sometimes dark, intimacy. Following on the heels of the previous year’s Oscar Award-winning picture Ray, based on the life of Ray Charles, I entered the theater under the mistaken impression that Walk The Line would be a cookie-cutter attempt to capitalize on the various themes of that picture’s commercial success. But although the dramatic personal struggle with drug addiction is prevalent in both films, Walk The Line was more than able to stand on its own as a powerful and impressionable big screen biography. And just like the aforementioned film, you leave Walk The Line with a renewed interest in the music of Johnny Cash and a deep personal attachment to the lives of Cash and his likeable wife, June Carter.

Directed by James Mangold, the talent behind such notable films as Kate & Leopold (2001) and Identity (2003), Walk The Line begins in the rough and tumble world of Depression-Era Arkansas where a young Johnny Cash (Joaquin Phoenix) tends to the family cotton farm with his parents and older brother. Early on, a family tragedy strains the relationship between Cash and his father, providing a glimpse into the epic moment that would shape his life forever. Soon after, the film jumps to the early 1950s where Cash perfects his guitar talents while stationed overseas in the Air Force. His marriage to high school classmate Vivian Liberto lands the two in Memphis where Johnny supports the family as an appliance salesman while pursuing his musical interests on the side. Here, Cash founds The Tennessee Two with bassist Marshall Grant (Larry Bagby) and guitarist Luther Perkins (Dan John Miller), and the trio plays its way to a music deal with local label Sun Records.

As part of a promotional campaign, Cash is put on tour with other “rockabilly” newcomers Elvis Presley (Tyler Hilton), Jerry Lee Lewis (Waylon Payne), and Carl Perkins (Johnny Holiday). But during his tour with the quartet, the life of Johnny Cash takes numerous turns. He meets the affable June Carter (Reese Witherspoon), begins an addiction to amphetamines and alcohol, and watches his marriage to Vivian deteriorate under the strain of his constant absence. All three would come to define the next fifteen years of Cash’s life as he struggled to triumph over his personal demons. Despite his all-encompassing drug addiction, Cash nevertheless manages to crank out hits, but his personal life hits rock bottom following bouts with divorce, loneliness, depression, and his continued drug addiction. When Cash reunites with June Carter in a musical collaboration, the magical bond between the two is amplified. But Johnny’s addiction threatens to ruin everything they’ve built together…

The most impressive aspect of Walk The Line, aside from the storyline itself, is the performance of Witherspoon and her counterpart Phoenix. Amazingly, both provide their own voiceovers, and for the casual listener, very little difference can be detected between the Hollywood talents and the real life country music legends they impersonate. Much was made of the performance of Joaquin Phoenix in the days leading up to the film’s release, but I came away more impressed by Witherspoon. Apparently, so did the Academy because they awarded her their highest honor for the role. What stood out the most was the actress’s down-to-earth smile and charismatic mannerisms. She created a character with ample assertiveness, yet one that burst at the seams with an infectious optimism and love for life. As such, the audience can’t help but fall in love with June Carter. In addition, Witherspoon displays an amazing singing voice that accurately captures the distinct and unique aspects of June Carter’s talent. Overall, Walk The Line is a fine film, and a fitting remembrance to the career and life of country music’s greatest icon, Johnny Cash…

Video Tips to Bring Out Your Inner Spielberg

Whether you want to capture your child's birthday party, a wedding or the sites from your summer travels, making a home video is one of the most popular ways of preserving the memories.

Nearly 54 percent of Americans own a camcorder, according to the Consumer Electronics Association. As digital video cameras have become increasingly popular and much more affordable - average prices have decreased about a third in the last several years - many people are taking the magic of home videos one step further by doing their own editing and adding special effects and music.

Here are some tips to help bring out the Hollywood director in you the next time you turn on your camcorder.

* Be prepared. Learn as much as you can about your camera before shooting footage. Familiarize yourself with its zooming capabilities and other features. Also, don't forget to charge the battery and have a spare one handy.

* Practice makes perfect. Take some practice footage with your camera using different features. This is the best way to learn the ins and outs of your camera.

* Focus on the stars. Most of us go to the movie theater to see our favorite actors in action, right? Remember: It's the people, not the places, who will keep you coming back to watch home videos 10 years from now.

* Cut and polish. Once you've captured the footage, the real fun begins. With the help of easy-to-use video-editing software, you can make home movies that the whole family will enjoy.

Ever wonder how to add music, create transitions from one scene to another and remove dead footage? Adobe Premiere Elements is a favorite among amateur videographers for editing their videos, adding music, splicing in still images, creating slide shows, and even adding bits of old home movies to a new video.

The software is an all-in-one home-video studio. With a little practice, you can add fun effects as well as Hollywood-style

titles and credits, and burn your own DVDs or save your home movie to a Web format and post it online for your friends and family to download.

Video Ipod`s Ads

IPod video was a surprising new device at its appearance, due to the new and exiting quality that it could offer: playing videos. Besides this, the iPods have known, since their appearance on the market, a constant evolution, which lead to the fact that the public and the potential customers had more and more expectations regarding this product. With a new offer and design, the new product iPod video had a series of new ads, some authentic and some suspicious, because of their fake or less real aspect.

Due to the fact that the product was not yet in stores and people didn’t expect such a product to appear, there were a number of teasing and controversial ads (regarding their authenticity) which appeared and circled on the Internet. By bringing a new and relevant feature to the device, such as the video feature, the potential customers were surprised by the evolution of the product and so, the ads purpose was established. One of these ads represents the iPod video in an unreal shape (meaning that the authentic iPod has other optical features and another design). The ad was very short, as it lasted only 15 seconds. The video begins with presenting some corners of the new device, which are revealed in a computerized manner.

This one side of the device turns and the other one presents a screen which played the most recent music video belonging to the band Black-Eyed Peas (Pump it). The music and rhythm were dynamic and fast and so were the characters, who were dancing while driving. Suddenly, the slogan Introducing the new hand held movie theatre appeared and shortly after, the phrase new hand held movie theatre was cut out and the new phrase new iPod appeared on the screen, resulting Introducing the new iPod at http://www.review7.info .

The controversy around this ad is focused on the fact that the actual iPod video doesn’t have the same characteristics as the one in the ad: the actual device looks very similar to the 1st to 4th generation of iPods, meaning the screen is over the buttons, but the one revealed in the ad presented a very large screen, which completed one side of the device.

Still, there are many ads of the new iPod video which are, for sure, authentic. The main idea of these is the fact that music can be seen, as well, besides just being heard. This is why the Apple company opted for integrating famous artists in the ads for their product: one of the ads featured U2's Original of the Species from the Vertigo - Live From Chicago DVD and another two featured Eminem and Wynton Marsalis. The ads featuring these artist were much longer than the usual ones and they basically played famous songs, but not together with their videos; instead, the producers opted for some more authentic images illustrating performances of these artists, which would look natural and more spontaneous. The ads for this new product were focused on the video playing capabilities of the device and the producers wanted, at the same time, to symbolize the new range of possibilities that the new model of iPpod had to offer.

The main idea of the ads was clear, even though these 3 ads had very different targets. Based on the fact that the clients of the new device come from different backgrounds and are of different ages, the producers and the marketers managed to pick some artists that represent generations and symbolize best their tastes and lifestyle: Eminem stands for teens and hip hop music, Wynton Marsalis is representative for adults who like classical and jazz music and U2 is somewhere in between the other 2 opposite styles.

In parallel, the ads with the dancing silhouettes continued with more specified backgrounds, which were representing the video options. The iPod`s video ads show that the product has definitely evolved, has a more mature image and optimized new features.

All these accessories denote the fact that a simple portable audio device is of a great importance taking into account all different designs for the carrying cases and skins. The iPod video has many accessories, some of them are designed for suiting the lifestyle, the preferences and the tastes of the customers. Others are needed for transferring the information, for adapting or other useful activities in the technologic domain.

Another important aspect to mention is the fact that all the accessories are especially designed for the thinner models of the iPod video with a larger screen and smaller dimensions. The cases, skins and sticker decals have the role of pointing out the beauty, simplicity or vivid colors. On the other hand, they have a protective role and a decorative one, pointing out the personality, the lifestyle of the user. These aspects are extremely important for the younger users of the iPod video – the teenagers.

The other accessories are more or less needed taking into account how much into the fever of the iPods the user is and how much he uses all the other activities related with the iPod video. Anyway, in a world in continuous movement, almost all the accessories and special devices may be of great need for a modern person with a modern lifestyle.

Video Gaming: A Career Opportunity

Video games have exploded into a multibillion dollar a year business. Every year new video games are produced, and people of all ages flock to stores to pick up the latest titles. I have been playing video games since the very first year that the Atari game system came out. My generation was the first that embraced the idea of video games, but succeeding generations have turned the industry into what it is today. Playing video games is a blast, but the popularity of gaming has also turned into a career path.

Video gaming in the United States is very popular for a recreational activity, but it is also starting to become a great way to make quite a bit of money. World Championships in certain games are bringing six figures as grand prizes, which makes them very popular to world class gamers. The reason these gaming competitions can bring in such large prize pools is that many different advertisers see the opportunity to target their audience at these events. Most of the time the winners of these competitions are in their twenties and the audience ranges from the teens to the early thirties. This particular target audience is one of the largest spending groups for entertainment in the world.

These video gaming competitions are growing very large in the United States, but they have exploded in Japan and some European areas. In Japan the best video gamers are treated like rock stars, or superstar athletes. They must be protected by bodyguards when they go out on the street, because their fans go crazy when they see them. These gamers are also making a tremendous amount of money playing at these competitions. Their winnings can total almost one million dollars in prize money, but they can also bring home another five to ten million dollars every year from the endorsement deals they receive. I believe if this trend continues many kids will be looking to hone their skills at video gaming, not just for the fun of it, but for the very viable option of making a huge fortune playing games the rest of their life. Perhaps video gamers will even replace basketball stars on the cereal boxes!

Video Game Testing - Become A Video Game Tester In 5 Simple Steps

Step One: Be Proactive!

You won't land any video game tester jobs if you just sit around and wait for a "Game Testers Wanted" ad to appear in the paper. It won't happen. So instead of sitting back and waiting for a miracle to occur, just get out there and find the perfect video game testing job for you.

Head straight to the game companies and developers and apply for testing jobs. Since they aren't looking for you, the only logical step is to actively search for them. Once you find them (which shouldn't take too long), apply for a game tester position with them and then repeat the process for as many different companies as humanly possible.

On your application/resume, brag about all of your video game achievements, such as the consoles you own, the games you've played, the games you own, the MMORPGs you are apart of, and anything else that shows how much experience you have with video games. And if you want to help your cause even further, create a website/blog that talks about video games, gives reviews, previews, cheats, hints, tips, etc.

You have to remember that experience and professionalism count for a lot in this industry. Therefore, the more experience you have and the more professional you are, the better your chances are for getting a video game tester job.

Step Two: Step Out of Fairy Tale Land and Into Reality

You have to realize that video game testing is a job. Yes, it's a really fun job, but it is still a job nonetheless. This means that you have to treat it as such and take every part of it seriously. Don't merely sit down and play the game to have a good time. Sit down and play the game so that you can collect a paycheck when you're through.

Many "wanna-be" testers believe that being a professional video game tester is a "no work, all play" type of career. Honestly, they couldn't be more wrong. Although there aren't huge amounts of work that a game tester must wade through, there are still a few things that he/she has to complete. For instance, filling out reports. Surprised? Well, most aspiring young testers are when they hear that there is actual work involved with video game testing.

Contrary to what you may have thought, you won't be simply playing games and giving your opinion on whether they are good or not. You will actually be testing them. You will play through a game, find any bugs or glitches, and then fill out reports on any problems that you come across. This is to help the developers and programmers locate and fix those problems. You don't have to be an English professor or a college graduate to write bug reports, but you will have to have basic writing skills. Aside from the reports, you will also be required to fill out numerous questionnaires; which are typically opinion based.

As soon as you accept the fact that you'll be doing actual work as a video game tester, you will have much more success finding testing jobs.

Video Camera

There are video camera varieties that have been used by multi-million dollar television networks, and filtered through television stations that are spread throughout the United States. These video camera presentations are meant to bring the latest news of the world climate into your living room in exact rolling imaging form, complete with quality sound.

These video cameras are portable, lightweight and powerful enough to force you to view violence and gore through the news casts that are filmed clear across the world in war zones that bring the reality of war into your life full force, and most of the time without prior warning. These video camera devices have recorded death, mayhem and turned full tilt to record the miracle of birth in hospitals around the country.

As the technology to produce these video camera devices progressed to smaller and more elegant models, these video camera manufacturers thought to offer more portable models for the American public to enjoy in their everyday life in their hometowns through America. Americans now have the opportunity to use highly technical and technologically advanced video camera to film birthday parties, Nascar races, and any other memorable recordable event that can be imagined.

The use of video camera devices has spread to every facet of peoples lives. Law enforcement officers have been outfitted with video camera models in their patrol cars to record each traffic stop. These video camera devices are used by security companies to record various locations in a multi-story corporate headquarters office building.

There are video camera devices that serve as a “Big Brother” type of recording device, are installed on busy intersections traffic light poles and light receptacles, and are meant to aid the police departments in identifying people that routinely speed through the yellow traffic lights that have a touch of red, that are stationed there and sending them a large fine in the mail system.

There are video camera devices that have been observing people as they make withdrawals of cash at automatic teller machines for a very long time. Bank robbers normally consider the video camera devices that are installed at every angle inside a bank. These video camera devices are the first thing that is stopped when they enter the bank to make their own type of personal cash withdrawal.

Each store you shop at has the probability of surprising customers, by the hidden video camera devices that are installed to catch someone shoplifting or damaging their merchandise. These video camera devices are capable of bringing extreme pain into your life, or they can be used to record all of the pleasures in life too.

Vertigo - a masterpiece?

Vertigo, a 1958 suspense film, was directed by Alfred Hitchcock. Many people beleive that this film is Hitchcock's masterpiece.

The movie tells the story of a detective in San Francisco. The detectives name is Scottie who is played by James Stewart. Scottie leaves the police force after a fellow policeman falls and dies while the two were chasing a criminal across rooftops in downtown San Francisco. Unemployed at the time an old friend hires Scottie for his services to his wife Madeleine who is played by Kim Novak. His friend, Gavin Elster, claims that Madeleine often is found staring off into space and will even occasionally drive to an unkown point and than later have no memory of it. Scottie is skeptical, but Gavin believes Madeleine has a mental illness in which is possessed by a spirit of someone long dead.

Scottie follows Madeleine for several days. As he watches her, she visits the grave of a woman named Carlotta Valdes who killed herself years ago, makes frequent visits to an art museum where she spends long periods of time gazing at a large potrait of Carlotta, and rents a room at a hotel which was once Carlotta's home. Madeleine dresses like Carlotta, with identical hairstyle and jewlery. This behaviour is very perculiar to Scottie. Madeleine faints one day and falls into a lake. Scottie gets her out from the water and brings her to his apartment. He sets her to lie in front of the fire to dry off. Here the two fall in love.

The above is just a quick play by play of events in the first part of <a href="http://www.vertigo-causes.com" target="blank">vertigo</a>. I don't want to ruin the movie but more just give you an idea of what the movie is about without watching it. Most notably the film is known for Hitchcock's famous Cinematic qualities like the "Hitchcock zoom,". I hope this outline has been helpful and that if you choose to watch the film, you will enjoy it as I have!

Touched By An Angel (Season 2) DVD Review

Recipient of 3 Golden Globe and 12 Emmy nominations, including two for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Dramatic Series (Della Reese), Touched By An Angel built an enormous and dedicated fanbase with its optimistic upbeat themes and inspiring plots. Creator John Masius, the brains behind the hit show Providence (1999) and a writer for the two hit series St. Elsewhere (1982) and LA Law (1986), creates a dramatic series that follows in the footsteps of the highly successful Highway To Heaven, a series which chronicled the life of an angel. Likewise, Touched By An Angel follows a similar plotline, but it uses multiple angelic characters to do so. With a contemporary setting and modern problems, the show reaches a broad audience with its themes of hope, love, and redemption…

The Touched By An Angel (Season 2) DVD features a number of touching episodes including the season premiere "Interview with an Angel" in which Monica is given the task of granting an interview to a journalist writing a piece on human encounters with angels. The reporter, Callie, is quite skeptical, but when Monica recounts the story of a couple that granted forgiveness to another person, Callie unwittingly becomes the subject of an angelic encounter herself… Other notable episodes from Season 2 include "The Big Bang" in which Monica reveals herself to a married couple intent on robbing a bank and exacting revenge on its president, and "Lost And Found" in which Monica and Andrew come to the aid of a troubled detective haunted by his failures while working for the Centre for Missing Children…

Touched By An Angel (DVD) Review

Nominated for 3 Golden Globes and 12 Emmys, including two by Della Reese for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series, Touched By An Angel built a sizeable and loyal audience with its upbeat themes and inspirational storylines. The brainchild of John Masius, creator of Providence (1999) and writer for such hit series as St. Elsewhere (1982) and LA Law (1986), Touched By An Angel follows in the footsteps of Michael Landon's successful series Highway To Heaven, which chronicled the exploits of a single angel who wandered across the United States providing support for lost souls in need of aid. Touched By An Angel is quite similar, but the series uses multiple angels to achieve its purpose. Like Highway To Heaven the series utilizes a contemporary setting and modern problems, allowing the show reach a broad audience who enjoy its themes of love, hope, and redemption…

Touched By An Angel follows the exploits of several angels sent to Earth as "caseworkers" so as to bring God's message of love, peace, and hope to the distressed people of the world. When the series begins, Monica (Roma Downey) is a novice caseworker still in training (having just been promoted from "search & rescue"). Assisting Monica, and a caseworker in her own right, is Tess (Della Reese) who lends the wisdom of her many years of experience in dealing with the problems afflicting humanity at large. Together, these two angels interact with people on Earth, easing the burden of each soul with which they come into contact. In later seasons, Monica and Tess would be joined by Andrew (John Dye), the Angel of Death who also fills in as a caseworker to help lighten the load, and in the final two seasons (2001-2003), Gloria (Valerie Bertinelli) would join the trio as a regular recurring angel character… Overall, Touched By An Angel filled a desperately unmet need along the TV programming landscape. With much of today's programming fixated on sex, violence, and "reality," the hour-long CBS drama provided deeply probing family-oriented content which always left its viewers with a positive and upbeat feeling…

The Touched By An Angel DVD features a number of touching episodes including the series premiere "The Southbound Bus" in which Monica is prepared for her first case since being promoted from angel "search and rescue". Titanic (DVD) Review

Nominated for 14 Academy Awards and winner of 11 including Best Picture, Titanic became a worldwide phenomenon upon its release in 1997. Written and directed by James Cameron, the producer behind such hits as Terminator 2 and True Lies, the film chronicles the tragic 1912 sinking of the Titanic on its maiden voyage while interweaving a classic love story. At 194 minutes, it’s probably the longest commercial blockbuster in recent memory. Apparently, the sinking of the ship mirrors the real life timeline of the original sinking of the Titanic and that’s the reason for the three-hour plus running time (or at least, that’s what I’ve heard). Nevertheless, unless you’re absolutely disgusted by overly idealistic love stories, it’s a film well worth watching.

Titanic centers around the life of Rose DeWitt Bukater (Kate Winslet), a young woman onboard the celebrated launch of Titanic, the world’s largest luxury ship and a vessel believed to be indestructible. Accompanied by her social-climbing mother Ruth (Frances Fisher) and her arrogantly wealthy fiancĂ© Caledon Hockley (Billy Zane), Rose is bound for the beauty and sophistication of Continental Europe. But her trip, and her life, take an unexpected turn when she encounters Jack Dawson (Leonardo DiCaprio), a vagabond artist with no money, zero social status, and a zest for life. Against the wishes of Ruth, Rose and Jack fall in love, incurring the wrathful vengeance of Caledon. But, in the end, only a disaster of epic proportions can break the couple apart.

With a number of standout performances by a star-studding cast, including previous Academy Award winner Kathy Bates in the role of “new money” heiress Molly Brown, Titanic is a truly memorable film. The scope and opulence of the fabled ship is simply breathtaking, and the costumes and props form a brilliant kaleidoscope of images from the past. Although an overblown and idealistic teenage love story was the true focus of the film, Titanic created enough action and suspense during the sinking to keep viewers who aren’t interested in such plots interested. Inevitably, most viewers will envision themselves in the midst of such circumstances, wondering how they would react. Parts of the film are narrated from the perspective of a present day speaker, and the flashback sequences are combined to good effect. Overall, it makes for an outstanding film.

James Horner composed the musical score for Titanic, and his efforts are one reason the film experienced such widespread success. With a number of brilliant and original scores already to his credit – Field Of Dreams (1989), Legends Of The Fall (1994), and Braveheart (1995) all come to mind – Horner expands upon his unique voice by creating a soundtrack that combines the lazy breeze of an Iowa cornfield with the majestic plains of Scotland. In addition, Celine Dion provides the breakout performance of her career with the hit single “My Heart Will Go On,” which in the movie is paired with the most famous scene from the film in which Jack and Rose stand on the bow of the Titanic and pretend to fly. Not surprisingly, I’ve learned that in the years since, many tourists have lost their lives trying to mimic them. So I don’t recommend you try that! But I do advise watching Titanic. If you can sit through the sappy, melodramatic love scenes and the accompanying dialogue, you’ll be blown away by the special effects, the costumes, the set, and the soundtrack.

Tips For Choosing A Flat Screen TV, Part 2

Nearly all flat screen televisions sold in the last two years accept digital input, which is a good thing. However, there are two different digital standards to be aware of. HD-Ready gives 1366 x 768 resolution (which is 1366 columns by 768 rows) in a 10:6 aspect ratio closer to a movie theater. 1080p and 1080i use higher resolution, with 1920 columns by 1080 rows. The 'p' and 'i' means progressive and interlaced scanning, respectively, with the latter being the best possible resolution. A TV with either of these resolutions should be digital ready, but double check and read the small print; you may need to buy a digital TV tuner to plug into the back of your new flat panel TV if it's not.

The reason why this matters now is three fold. First, HD-Ready TVs can be had for discount prices, often under a thousand dollars, fully digital ready. This is because it's a stop gap to the higher resolution of 1080. Second, unless you have satellite TV, for the next two or three years, most (if not all) of the digital content you'll be watching is formatted for the lower resolution anyway. Third, while the mandatory rollout for all digital broadcasting has been set for 2008, there has been no standard defined for what resolution those broadcasts will be in. It may make sense to buy an HD-Ready TV and wait on the more expensive model. Unless the price is really good, make sure that your TV is digital ready. (An exception on the "hold off on 1080" mantra is HD-DVD and Blu-Ray DVD formats, both of which can use the full resolution. If you watch a lot of DVDs and are planning on upgrading to one of the high definition formats, it's worth it to get the better picture now. On the other hand, by the time enough material comes out on either of those formats, and they come out with DVD players that can handle both of them, the 1080is might be as cheap as the HD-Ready TVs are now.)

When buying your flat screen TV, it seriously pays to comparison shop. The market is transitioning; what used to be a high margin luxury item is, due to increasing LCD fabrication capability, becoming a commodity electronics purchase, and many manufacturers are in a price war, trying to make up for thinner profit margins on volume. As a result, if you scout around, you can usually find a model that's being phased out and liquidated cheap to clear floor space, particularly online.
