You’re an online gameonline games, board games, video games, download games, internet games, fun online, player. Probably an expert. Actually, you’re probably an expert at a bunch of different games. And you probably enjoy playing lots of different games, especially the new ones. But, if you were to pick just one, just one game that you would have to play for the rest of your life – what would it be? Would it be an old school board game like Monopoly or Risk? Would it be Prime Suspects or Mah Jong Quest? Perhaps it would be a puzzle such as Big Kahuna Reef, or Fish Tycoon in an underwater adventure? Or maybe you’re a Texas Hold Em fan. Whatever it is, you’re probably very passionate about it. You play it a lot. But that’s how you get to be good, right? It’s also a great way to pass the time and just have some fun.
Web Games
Many people, especially those who aren’t super sophisticated when it comes to online games, are just looking for a way to pass the time. These are the folks you may see playing the slots for 8 hours at the casinos. They enjoy games, but tend to like the simple ones, without a whole lot of strategy. Online card, arcade, and puzzle games provide lots of entertainment value for many people, everyday. As a bonus, many of these types of games are free to play on the Internet. These games run in a web browser, don’t require much hardware, and work on almost any computer.
If you could play only one game for the rest of your life, would it be a web game?
Puzzle Games
These types of games are very popular. Why? Many of them are free, or have a free version. There are also a lot of these types of games out there. What are some of the better ones?
Jewel Quest: You match jewels and quest through beautiful Mayan ruins in dozens of mind-bending puzzles, while discovering hidden treasures and priceless artifacts.
Prime Suspects: In what other game could you interview suspects, solve puzzles, and find key clues? Not many. That’s what makes Prime Suspects so cool. If you have a detective-like nature, you’ll be good at this one.
Bejeweled 2: Innovative, non-violent, the classic game of gem-swapping. Sound interesting? The goal is to match gems and colors as quickly as you can. Kids and adults love this one.
If you could play only one game for the rest of your life, would it be a puzzle game?
Card Games
Card games are as hot as ever. They require skill, they’re challenging and they’re fun. Games such as Tik’s Texas Hold Em and Super Poker Stars offer players three unique advantages. They offer the thrill of playing cards in a casino, there is no risk because there’s no money involved and best of all, players can test their skills against other card sharks. Online games are often new creations, but these games are new interpretations on the classics.
If you could only play one game for the rest of you life, would it be a classic card game?
Simulation Games
By now, everyone has heard of The Sims. Simulation games have skyrocketed in popularity and for those gamers who love to create their own world, the options are endless. You can build a city, a world or an amusement park with mind boggling roller coasters. You can even go back in time and relive medieval battles. So what is the draw of these types of games?
The hook is that as the game progresses, it gets more intricate. Take Cinema Tycoon for example. Start off with a small cinema and as you manage concessions, purchases new hit movies and try to avoid “flops” you build your cinema into a true Mega-Plex. This game is fun for all ages and levels of gamers.
If you could only play one game for the rest of you life, would it be a simulation game?
Strategy Games
If you enjoy games that challenge the mind, perhaps strategy games like Risk II and Chessmaster Challenge are what you are looking for. These games require you to flex those mental mussels. Many of the classic strategy games are available to be played online. You can match wits with your intellectual counterpart in Russia and find out who truly is the Chessmaster! Sound like fun? It is.
3D graphics have brought a new level of realism to strategy games. These games throw you into the action as if you were actually there…deploy your forces, attack your foes and build your armies. Strategy games are typically designed for no more than 12 simultaneous players. Many of these games are free, or have a free version online.
If you could only play one game for the rest of you life, would it be a strategy game?
Game Show Games
You love to win; there is no question about it. Competition is in your blood. Well, then maybe you could play a game show game for the rest of your life. Maybe you want to play Family Feud, the fast-paced game based on the successful Family Feud TV game show! Beat the average score, or go head-to-head with a friend or an entire family! Maybe you are a rock & roll junkie, test your music knowledge (from the golden oldies to current top bands) with Rock & Roll JEOPARDY!
If you could only play one game for the rest of you life, would it be a game show game?
Summary
Well, what did you decide? Would your one game be Texas Hold Em or Family Feud? Would you choose to become a Cinema Tycoon or take the Chessmaster Challenge? Fortunately, you don’t have to choose, but if you know what type of games you gravitate towards, perhaps you can uncover some new games that you never knew existed!

I Can't Wait ! We Are Going to Cooperstown.
My heart soared. We were going to take another trip to The Baseball Hall of Fame. One of my favorite places on earth.
Just like the first trip to Upstate New York. I wanted to see the likes of Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig, Honus Wagner, Mickey Mantle, Ty Cobb and Yogi Berra. one more time.
What I saw that day has stayed with me at the depths of my being, to this very day. More about that later.
As we walked into the building in the spring of 1999 I was greeted by two giant size replicas of two great hitters Ted Williams and Babe Ruth. I loved seeing the Babe again. "My friend Babe Ruth. Hello. Hey Ted, you look pretty good." I remember saying.
I found it very interesting that I and most people (if you stood under seven foot five inches) would have to look up to see these two sculptured figures.
My wife and I strolled through the museum looking at the artifacts. We adored the old gloves, spikes, balls, bats and uniforms that were encased in their glass display bins. These items brought me back to a time and place before television, radar guns and luxury boxes. I was getting very nostalgic.
We soon entered the wing that housed the Sammy Sosa, and Mark McGwire artifacts. This Home Run Wing was abundant with Sosa and McGwire memorabilia. This was like being in a home run baseball fantasy park. There were huge posters of both men. There were posters of each man's list of home runs.. When they hit them and what pitcher gave up that particular home run. There were bats they used in games and balls they hit over the fences Amazing. Never had two major league men hit so many home runs in one year. Upon leaving that wing I could not help but feel overwhelmed by the slugging feats of these two huge men. One a Cub and one a Cardinal.
We continued to stroll through the hall until we came up to a narrow wing that I did not remember from my previous visit. I looked down the left side of the corridor and saw a group of pictures. Hanging from wires, these colorful paintings were displayed at my eye level. Perfect for me. I had to see these pictures. I was compelled. to walk down this aisle. The first picture as I entered the area was of Babe Ruth. His bat was over his shoulder. His face was wrought with age. He looked a little old, a wee bit tired heavy and somewhat overweight. As I stared at the picture I got very sad. I could see that his career was about to end.
Next painting was of Lou Gehrig. A smiling Lou Gehrig. I felt so happy just to be in the presence of one of my all time heroes. Even if it was just a picture. Then there was one of Joe DiMaggio and Ted Williams standing on the dugout steps Their bodies were angled toward each other. I enjoyed the joy they seemed to have just being there. Ready to play another game.
There were other paintings one of Jackie Robinson, another of Ty Cobb and another of Honus Wagner that I loved.
Gazing toward the end of the row of paintings I saw a glass case with what looked like a tan baseball glove inside. This seemed very weird in that all the players that were depicted in the paintings were from an era when dark brown gloves were used. . I felt confused. This mitt did not seem to belong here. I just had to see whose glove this was.
I could not believe my eyes. It was not a glove. It was a sculpture of a glove. Perfect in size. Detailed so exact that the grayish colored seams were complete in length width and color. The depth of this piece was ideal What this sculptor had captured amazed me. I thought about the time he invested in creating this piece. About how much this person must have loved baseball that he took the time to mold a piece equipment. I visualized he sitting in his workroom playing with clay to make this piece real.
I called my wife to come see this incredible piece. We both were moved. I even cried.
I was given a glimpse of one of the greatest pieces of art I had ever seen. I have been to major museums and have seen painting by Van Gough, Picasso, and Dahli ..I have seen the Thinker by Rodin. I have never been moved like I was by the glove.
Whenever I think of the Hall of Fame my mind jumps to the glove. I do not know if this piece is there any more. It did have a price tag of $8500 when I was there so it may have been moved.
But if you get the chance to see the glove I suggest you take a look.
Feel free to pass this on to anyone you think would enjoy reading about baseball or the Hall of Fame.

How World of Warcraft Have Becomed this Unstoppable Addictive Game?
A massive massively multiplayer online game World of Warcraft is by far the most popular Massively Multiplayer Online Game game ever created. Millions log in every day to quest in the gigantic world of Azeroth to slay dragons, other epic foes, and possibly most importantly, each other. What makes these games so compelling?
Though massively multiplayer online role-playing games have been around for years, it has taken this long for the genre's breakthrough hit to finally emerge. Here is the online role-playing game you should play, no matter who you are. Simply because the graphics and landscapes are breathtaking and there is no other game like in the world to date.
The World of Warcraft to put it quite simply, is a game. It’s a very large game with a very large player base but it is nevertheless still a game, and when you get right down to it, it spans continents, races, ages and even worlds.
For starters, it's huge, and growing. With new expansions all the time and a massive world to begin with, there is much to explore in Azeroth. From beautiful forests to dark graveyars and everything in between, there is a vast landscape with lots of variety to adventure in. Blizzard has a talent for crafting worlds that bend to the fictional societies that inhabit them, and the world of Azeroth feels very alive despite the cartoonish appearance.
In World of Warcraft, you create your alter ego by choosing from a variety of colorful races and powerful classes, and then you begin exploring, questing, and battling in Azeroth. World of Warcraft came after Warcraft III, another fun role playing computer game. The game is a perfect depiction of the term fantasy, the landscapes are beautiful, the characters and animals are not of this world, and the structures are massive.
There is nothing quite like it anywhere else although many others have tried. They haven’t failed, but they can’t exactly live up to the standards set by the World of Warcraft.
World of Warcraft is a fantasy game where players can take on the guise of different characters in the world known to all as Azeroth, the place where World of Warcraft is set.
After countless hours spent playing, the great first impression does not wear off. This style of gaming is notorious for being a time sink and for effectively forcing players to engage in repetitive, monotonous gameplay for hours on end in order to make progress. But in contrast, World of Warcraft will keep throwing variety at you, and the combat system at the heart of it features fast, visceral, action-packed battles that are fun and intense, whether you are fighting alone or in a group. Furthermore, World of Warcraft finally achieves that long-sought-after goal of many massively multiplayer games, which is to make the player feel rewarded regardless of how much time he or she invests in a single sitting.
If you’re a gaming addict then this game is one of the better MMORPG’s which you should try if you get the chance to. It’s not a free game and to play it you will have to pay for it.
All this would be nothing, however, if it wasn't for the online play. There is the fun of playing with friends and banding together to accomplish epic feats of heroism, and the thrill of smack-talking opponents who dare challenge your guild's dominance. Human opponents tend to be much more exciting than robotically-controlled computer players; for the luddites reading this, would you rather play poker or cribbage against a computer or against real people that you know? Therein lies the appeal of World of Warcraft.
In World of Warcraft you never run out of things to do since much of the game is structured around questing. Whenever you enter a major new location for the first time, you will feel almost overwhelmed by the number of quests available, which you will be able to clearly spot since quest-giving characters helpfully stand there with a big, noticeable exclamation mark over their heads. Luckily, the game's more-than-a-thousand quests are made quite manageable by only being offered to you when you are qualified to complete them, and you can have no more than 20 quests pending at a time. Eventually you will have to come back and complete a quest so you can get to the next.Johny Rider is an expert player of the revolutionary world of warcraft mmorpg. The unit of videogames of the Vivendi, that already it was a deficitary business for the French group of media, enjoys currently of one of the biggest edges of profit of the industry thanks to a game: World of Warcraft.
The world of warcraft game congregated more than 10 million users since its launching in 2004 and the president of the Vivendi Games, Rene Penisson, says that she created a new market for the company and the industry as a whole. "I believe that a great market is opening", said Penisson to the Reuters, in interview after the presentation of annual results of the group. "it is changing the way as the people play videogames."
The French rival of the Vivendi, Infogrames, that controls the Atari in the United States, affirmed this month that the games online will be the engine of growth of the industry and will compose one room of all the games of the industry in three years. World of Warcraft is a game in which the users makes friends and enemies in a virtual world formed by druids, goblins and fairies, and some times find its soul-twin in the real life. Passed year, the package of expansion "The Burning Crusade" surpassed expectations of sales and the Vivendi waited that the same happens with the package for the game, "Wrath of the Lich King", that it will be launched in the semester of this year.
Between 2003 and 2007, the Vivendi Games doubled its invoicing for more than 1 billion of euros (1,52 billions of dollar) and transformed an operational damage of about 200 million euros into a profit of 181 million. "World of Warcraft has been the essential element that it transformed the Vivendi Games", said Penisson. If the Vivendi Games did not have a so popular title, the company never would have obtained the affection of the Activision, the producer behind the successes as "Guitar Hero" and which the French group closed a partnership of 18 billion dollar in December of the passed year, Penisson said. The Vivendi Games will have between 52 68 percent of the agreed company Activision Blizzard, depending on the result of offers of action.
For 2009, the Vivendi Games foresaw invoicing agreed of 4,3 billion dollar, operational profit of 1,1 billion of dollar.
Penisson will be the director of the new company. "the combination of the two company creates a bonanza group in terms of portfolio of products and development potential", said it.

Most veteran PC gamers know exactly what they want in a gaming laptop, and those who have the time and money have probably already built their dream computer themselves, but if you are a little newer to the field, a little more fond of the smaller notebook footprint, or a little less comfortable with a do-it-yourself computer, you need to be armed with these basic facts before purchasing your gaming laptop.
The three most important components for any high-end laptop are the processor, RAM and graphics card. Since you are building a gaming rig, you will want to focus on your graphics card first and foremost. Make sure you load up the video memory with at least 256MB and remember to select a notebook that has a dedicated graphics card. Integrated graphics simply cannot handle any modern, 3D gaming.
The next most important component is your processor. Dual-core CPUs are the hottest thing out right now. Ideally, you want to stay within the top two or three fastest dual-core CPUs, in terms of processor speed, that are currently available at the time of your purchase. This will ensure that your notebook is fully optimized for all of today's latest 3D games.
The third most important factor in the speed of your laptop is RAM. You will need at least 1GB to safely play most 3D games without any memory bottlenecking, although most hardcore gamers opt for 2GB or more just for the added punch and/or bragging rights.
The fourth and final tip would be to go with 7200rpm hard drives, as these will definitely speed up load times by adding some extra horsepower to your gaming machine.
With recent advancements in mobile technologies, laptops are now becoming more and more popular in the gaming community, as the prospect of a portable gaming rig that can produce desktop-like performance on the go is something that appeals to all gamers. Just remember to follow these four simple guidelines to ensure that your laptop will be able to meet or exceed all of the hardware requirements for your gaming sessions.

A 512mb stick is the absolute minimum for this purpose.
In order to transfer video to your PSP you will need to have a computer handy so that you can connect the PSP via a USB cable. An internet connection comes in very handy, but you don't absolutely need it unless you need to download your video first.
1-Connect the computer and the PSP together, with the PSP switched off in the first instance, and then switch the PSP on as soon as you have made and confirmed the connection.
2-With the PSP go into the SETTINGS menu, and press X, which is used to link the PSP to the computer. If you then go into MY COMPUTER on the computer, you will see another volume that has been added. This is the PSP/Playstation Portable.
3-Open the PSP memory card and then open the folder called PSP. With this folder still open, you will need to make another folder within it. This folder should be called “MP_ROOT”. You also need to create a folder called “100mnv01”
4-Save the movies that you intend to watch in the folder “100mnv01” and now you can start! You can begin to watch a movie by clicking on the saved image inside the memory card. For this to work, it is essential that the movies are in MP4 format. If you don't know about this format, look it up in the search engine. Should you wish to transfer your DVDs to the MP4 format you will need to get special software to do the job.
There you have it. You now know how to put video on PSP in 4 easy steps!

How To Put Videos On Your Sony PSP
If you're lucky enough to own a Sony PSP, you're probably very excited about all the different things it can do. Unfortunately, watching movies is not one of the simpler things to do with a PSP, and it seems that many people have no idea how it's done. I've put together a few quick steps here, so hopefully once you've read this you'll know exactly how to put videos on PSP.
Essentials-Memory Stick- you need at least 500mb free to do this, but the more the better really. These things are really much cheaper than they used to be, so check Ebay or Amazon to find a good deal. You?ll also need to be near a computer with an internet connection and a USB cable that you can connect the computer to the PSP with.
Step- 1
Switch the PSP off, and use the USB cable to connect the PSP to the computer. Once connected, switch the PSP on.
Step- 2
Go into the settings menu on the PSP, and hit X. This should make the computer link to the PSP and vice versa. Once it's done, go to the computer and open My Computer-you should see that there is a new volume there, much in the same way that an external HD is added or a flash drive.
Step- 3
Go into the PSP Memory Stick and open the folder named PSP. Once it's open, create another folder inside it. It's very important to get the name correct 'MP_ROOT' and then create an additional folder called '100mnv01'
Step- 4
You will need to save any movies you want to watch in the folder you created named '100mnv01'. Once they are saved there, you can start to watch them by clicking on the image inside the Memory Stick. It's important to note that you will need the movies in MP4 format, and you can find plenty of software around to perform the conversion if you need to.
Didn't I tell you it was simple when you knew how? There it is, that?s exactly how to put videos on PSP.

How To Play Halo 3 Like A Pro - Learn Hot Tips And Advices
Like other versions of the Halo series, Halo 3 is a first person shooting game. Majority of the action happens on foot but a few segment features combat on vehicles.
The balance of weapons changes in this version with three kinds of arms available. These include a special type of grenade that is most effective in crunch situations. The judicious use of weaponry may decide the fate of the player. An added feature of these games is what is called "dual wielding" where the player can use grenades and melee simultaneously combining the firepower of the two weapons.
In addition to this, all weapons featured in previous editions of the game return to Halo 3 with various augmentations. All weapons used by the player are shown on the screen unlike previous parts and additional support weapons are introduced that are cumbersome and tough to carry about.
These weapons carry far more power than the normal weapons and include turret machine guns and things called flamethrowers. The use of these weapons drastically reduces the player's combating skills and movement; but increases his power and shooting range.
A very special addition to this version was a group of utilizable items called Equipments. They have a wide range of functions. While some such as Bubble Shield and Regenerator can be used in defensive operations, others such as the Power Drainer and Tripmine can actually cause mortal damage and death. The player can use only one of these utility products at a time.
The Ark is the mother ring world in the Halo universe. It has the power to control all the other Haloes and is also known as Installation 00. It is often dubbed the controlling station of the Halo network. The Ark first received a mention in the video game series towards the climax of the second version and was the site of most of the action in Halo 3.
The opening to the Ark was situated in the futuristic planet Earth in the continent of Africa. It was located between Mount Kilimanjaro and the city of New Mombassa. On opening it develops a massive portal which takes passengers to Ark. The Ark is petal-shaped and immense in diameter located a few light years beyond the Milky Way galactic sphere. Guilty Spark also mentions that it is 262,144 light years away from the core of the galaxy, the higher range of the network of Halo is measured in light years to be around 210,000.
The final half of Halo:3 primarily locates itself in the Ark where it is also comprehended that the Ark has an inherent capability of producing Halos and also initiated the reconstruction of the destroyed Installation 04. However, it suffers heavy damage when the Halo under construction is fired before being fully developed.
The Ark is also seen to be a storehouse of valuable information about its creators, the mysterious extraterrestrial race known as the Forerunners. In three of the levels that take place in the Ark, terminals located in remote areas contain databanks which reveal the fate of the Forerunners and the spearheads of the fight against the Flood.

One of the funniest TV comedies ever produced, Cheers is essential viewing for anyone who's ever frequented a hangout "where everyone knows your name". The shows focuses on a friendly neighborhood Boston bar named Cheers (the Bull & Finch Pub in real life). Owned by former Boston Red Sox reliefer Sam Malone (Ted Danson), Cheers has three employees other than Sam: Woody Boyd (Woody Harrelson), Carla Tortelli (Rhea Pearlman), and Diane Chambers (Shelley Long). Celebrated psychiatrist Dr. Frasier Crane (Kelsey Grammar) and his wife Dr. Lilith Sternin Crane (Bebe Neuwirth) are regular customers of the bar (with Dr. Crane later playing the lead role in his own series, Frasier). Norm Peterson (George Wendt) and Cliff Clavin (John Ratzenberger), regular barflies, round out an excellent supporting cast of characters.
The Cheers (Season 5) DVD offers a number of hilarious episodes including the season premiere in which the audience discovers that Sam's marriage proposal from the previous year's season finale was directed at Diane. However, Diane feels that Sam is on the rebound from Janet, so she declines - requesting a more romantic setting for their engagement. When Sam proposes on a boat, Diane turns him down again then spends several episodes attempting to get Sam to propose once again. Meanwhile, Carla falls in love with Boston Bruins goalie Eddie LeBec (Jay Thomas) and John Cleese makes a guest appearance as a famous marriage counselor and friend of Frasier Crane. The season ends with Diane leaving Sam at the altar in order to finish a novel a publishing house is interested in…

Cheers (Season 3) DVD Review
One of the most beloved TV sitcoms in American history, Cheers is the perfect show for anyone who's ever frequented a place "where everybody knows your name". The series follows the lives of the workers and patrons who inhabit a friendly neighborhood Boston bar named Cheers. Cheers is operated by a retired Boston Red Sox relief pitcher named Sam Malone (Ted Danson). Sam has three people on his staff: Ernie "Coach" Pantusso (Nicholas Colasanto), Carla Tortelli (Rhea Pearlman), and Diane Chambers (Shelley Long). Regulars Norm Peterson (George Wendt) and Cliff Clavin (John Ratzenberger) round out a strong supporting cast of eccentric characters. Most notably, season three provides viewers with their first glimpse of Dr. Frasier Crane (Kelsey Grammar), a psychiatrist who would later have his own series, Frasier...
The Cheers (Season 3) DVD offers a number of hilarious episodes and begins the ascent of Dr. Frasier Crane, imminent psychologist, as a television icon. Notably, Dr. Crane's stint on Cheers was originally intended to last for only a few episodes until his character became a regular cast member (similar to John Ratzenberger's ascent on the show). Michael Richards (Kramer from the hit show Seinfeld) makes a notable guest appearance in episode # 62. Following her breakup with Sam and abandonment of Cheers, Diane returns to the bar at the request of Coach who feels it will help Sam end his problem drinking. The Sam-Diane-Frasier love triangle lasts for the entirety of the season, culminating in the final episode where Frasier proposes to Diane while the two are on a trip across the European continent…

Cheers (Season 2) DVD Review
One of the top-rated sitcoms of the 1980s, Cheers founded the "must see" hours of NBC's prime time lineup. Following the exploits of a group of bar employees and their customers, Cheers became a regular hangout not just for guys like Norm Peterson and Cliff Clavin, but for all of America as well. Bartender and Cheers owner Sam Malone is a retired pitcher for the Boston Red Sox, while he's joined by employees Ernie "Coach" Pantusso, Carla Tortelli, and Diane Chambers. A number of recurring characters seated around the bar appear in each episode. Almost every episode takes place entirely in the bar...
The Cheers (Season 2) DVD offers a number of hilarious episodes and ignites Sam and Diane's long-lasting, on-again/off-again romance. This is also the first season in which Cliff Clavin is an "opening-credits" member of the cast (even though he appeared in most of season one's episodes). Guest appearances by Fred Dryer (of Hunter fame), Dick Cavett, Harry Anderson (of Night Court fame), and Christopher Lloyd (of Taxi and Back To The Future fame) make for some memorable comic sequences. The season ends with Sam and Diane's romance on shaky ground…

Cheers (DVD) Review
One of the greatest television comedies in history, Cheers is an absolute must see for anyone who's ever had a regular hangout "where everybody knows your name". The shows centers itself around a friendly neighborhood Boston bar named Cheers. The bar is owned by former Boston Red Sox relief pitcher Sam Malone (Ted Danson). Sam has two employees – bartender Ernie “Coach” Pantusso (Nicholas Colasanto) and waitress Carla Tortelli (Rhea Perlman). Things are great for Sam until he hires a jilted graduate student named Diane Chambers (Shelley Long) to waitress in the bar. Regular barflies Norm Peterson (George Wendt) and Cliff Clavin (John Ratzenberger) round out a strong supporting cast…
The Cheers DVD offers a number of hilarious episodes including the season premiere “Give Me A Ring Sometime” in which the gang at Cheers first meets Diane when she spends the day in the bar waiting for her fiancé, distinguished Boston University professor Sumner Sloane, to return from meeting with his ex-wife (where he hopes to retrieve his grandmother’s ring for Diane). Sumner never returns, resulting in Diane accepting a job at the bar… Other notable episodes from Season 1 include “Sam At Eleven” in which Sam’s ex-teammate turned sportscaster Dave Richards (Fred Dryer) arrives at the bar to interview Sam for the eleven o’clock news only to end up ditching him for John McEnroe, and “Pick a Con… Any Con” in which Coach is being played by a conman, prompting Sam to enlist the help of Harry the Conman (Harry Anderson) in order to get Coach’s money back. Only Coach has a few surprises of his own…

Throw in a hardened homicide captain named Jim Brass (Paul Guifoyle), and a handful of other headstrong colleagues, and CSI has all the ingredients necessary for a top-rated program that thrives on drama, suspense, and tension…

Charlie's Angels (DVD) Review
Long before Magnum, PI put Tom Selleck on the map, Charlie's Angels owned the world of TV private eyes. Nominated for 4 Emmys and 7 Golden Globes, including 2 for Best TV Series - Drama, Charlie's Angels was a truly rare overnight sensation. The forerunner to modern day shows such as La Femme Nikita and Alias, creators Ivan Goff and Ben Roberts capped off long careers as showbiz writers by penning the unforgettable story of three sexy and vivacious private investigators. Executive producer Aaron Spelling (linked to innumerable hit shows such as Beverly Hills 90210, The Love Boat, Melrose Place, Dynasty, 7th Heaven, and Charmed among others) played a prominent role in the pop culture explosion of this series which witnessed the immediate mass marketing of Charlie's Angels trading cards, posters, lunchboxes, and endless other memorabilia - including a full-length feature film of the same name two decades later (2000). Through the duration of the series (five seasons), the cast changed continuously as Charlie's angels became media stars in their own right and left to pursue various opportunities in modeling, film, and TV…
Charlie's Angels centers around a group of gorgeous female ex-police officers hired to work for the Charles Townsend Detective Agency. A mysterious multi-millionaire with seemingly unlimited means, Charles Townsend communicates with his girls via speaker-phone and through the aid of his personal assistant, John Bosley (David Doyle). Charlie sends the girls on various undercover missions and dangerous assignments where they apprehend criminals and pursue justice with a vengeance. The original angels are Sabrina Duncan (Kate Jackson) who plays the role of the "smartest" angel, Kelly Garrett (Jaclyn Smith) who plays the part of the "street-smart" angel, and Jill Munroe (Farrah Fawcett) who plays the role of the "athletic" angel. Together, they unleash their collective talents on the criminal underworld, putting their own lives at risk in process… As the show progressed, Jill Munroe left as a regular on the series and was replaced by her sister Kris (Cheryl Ladd). The following year, Sabrina left the agency to tend to her family and was replaced by Tiffany (Shelley Hack) and later by Julie (Tanya Roberts)…
The Charlie's Angels DVD features a number of action-packed episodes including the series premiere "Hellride" in which the audience first learns of the mysterious Charles Townsend Detective Agency and the beautiful women who comprise the majority of its agents. When a female racecar driver suffers a questionable death, Charlie sends the girls out to uncover the truth. To get the job done, Sabrina poses as a racecar driver, and the girls discover the existence of a murderous conspiracy… Other notable episodes from Season 1 include "Bullseye" in which the angels uncover a drug-ring owned and operated by two corrupt military officials, and "The Vegas Connection" in which the angels and Bosley travel to Las Vegas in order to catch a deviant con artist…

Casablanca (DVD) Review
One of the greatest, and certainly one of the most quoted, films in cinema history, Casablanca contains all the essential elements of a Hollywood blockbuster: adventure, romance, intrigue, suspense, and of course, evil Nazi bad guys (if you doubt this last one as an essential element, then reference the success of the Indiana Jones films). With a director (Michael Curtiz) and cast second to none, Casablanca makes a strong case for consideration as the best movie ever made. And although I loath clichés, it is true that they just don’t make ‘em like this one anymore…
Casablanca unfolds in a place called Rick’s, a popular watering hole in Vichey-controlled Morocco on the outskirts of Nazi dominated Europe. An important travel hub, Casablanca plays host to numerous colorful characters with any number of varying agendas. Arms dealers, spies, and revolutionaries walk side-by-side through streets littered with pickpockets. But at Rick’s, everyone seems to enjoy themselves. Owner Rick Blaine (Humphrey Bogart) seems content with his life of serving customers and making money, at least until the day she walks in, Ilsa Lund (Ingrid Bergman), the love of Rick’s life.
Less than two years earlier, as the Nazis moved into Paris, Rick and Ilsa fell in love. But in the act of fleeing the Nazi advance, Ilsa sent Rick a note at the train station informing him that she could not go with him. She offered no explanation. Now, she was appearing in his establishment with her husband, fugitive and Nazi resistance leader Victor Laszlo.
As the hours pass, and the Nazis desperately search for Laszlo in an attempt to cut off his escape, Rick learns the truth about Ilsa and her reason for leaving. For the moment, Laszlo’s fate is in his hands. Since his days in Paris, Rick’s made a habit of being practical, both in his business life and in his personal life… But will Rick use his influence and connections to help himself or Victor Laszlo? Will his idealism prevail over his hardened pragmatism? The Third Reich is closing in, and Rick must make a decision regarding Ilsa and Laszlo before time runs out…
The recipient of widespread critical acclaim in the more than six decades since its release, Casablanca is one of the few films deemed as a “cinema classic” that actually lives up to the mega-hype surrounding it. The set design, costumes, and direction are absolutely flawless. The dialogue is superb. Bogart and Bergman are perfect as the lovers torn apart, and Claude Rains is unforgettable as Captain Renault. If you have an aversion to pre-1980 movies or some other strange reason for missing out on this one, then I highly encourage you to watch Casablanca. You won’t regret it.

Cartoons: Why I Loved Saturdays
There are a lot of reasons that most kids love Saturdays. Kids love Saturdays because it means they do not have to get up early and go to school. Kids love Saturdays because they usually get to relax or play with friends. Kids love Saturdays because it means they got to stay up late on Friday night. But as a kid I loved Saturdays for a totally different reason: Saturday morning cartoons.
One of the highlights of my childhood was watching Saturday morning cartoons. My siblings and I looked forward to it all week long. We made it through five long days of school, homework, going to bed early, and eating healthy breakfast foods in order to get to the next Saturday. And though the wait for Saturday felt like forever, eventually it always came. And with it came our special Saturday routine. Although Saturday is the perfect day to sleep in, we usually got up just as early as we would for school, and we did not even need alarm clocks! Whoever woke up first would run to wake up all the others and together we would go quickly to the family room and turn on the television and flip to our favorite channel: the one with the best Saturday morning cartoons.
Oh, we loved our cartoons. We kept track of what was happening in all our favorite cartoons and we waiting with anticipation for the next episode. We were glued to the television with eyes so huge we did not miss a thing. We would laugh outloud, talk to our favorite cartoon characters outloud, and get mad at the television outloud anytime the cartoons did not go like we thought they should. We were so into our favorite cartoons that only one thing could pull us away from the tube. Dad's pancakes.
Dad's special, Saturday-only pancakes were amazing. We could eat as many as we wanted and we could put anything in them we wanted: blueberries, chocolate chips or even M&M's. We looked forward to our Dad's pancakes almost as much as we looked forward to watching our favorite cartoons. Our parents even started letting us eat our pancakes in front of the television so we would not have to miss a cartoon! What a deal! Saturday was the only day the good cartoons were on, it was the only day that Dad made his signature, unhealthy pancakes, and it was definitely the only day we could eat in front of the television in the family room.
So while I liked not having to go to school on Saturdays and I liked being able to play with friends and stay up later, the real reason I loved Saturdays was not even my Dad's great pancakes. The real reason, the biggest reason that I grew up loving Saturdays was simple: Saturday morning cartoons.

Buffy The Vampire Slayer (DVD) Review
The brainchild of writer Joss Whedon, Buffy The Vampire Slayer originally entered American pop culture as a full-length feature film, starring Kristy Swanson, in 1992. But creator Whedon felt that the project never quite did justice to the full scope of his vision, so he managed turn the film into a television series in 1997. The result of Whedon's increased artistic freedom is a series that has enjoyed both critical acclaim and audience notoriety. Nominated for 14 Emmy's during its seven year run, the show managed to win only two (both in 1998 for Outstanding Makeup and Outstanding Music Composition in a television series). Yet, the true success for Buffy The Vampire Slayer is indicated by the massive success of the show's long run, strong DVD sales, and the overwhelming success of the series spin-off Angel…
Sarah Michelle Gellar plays the title role of Buffy Anne Summers, a teenage girl who stands alone among her generation as the "chosen one" able to "stand against vampires, demons, and the forces of darkness. She is the Slayer…" But Buffy is not alone in fulfilling her destiny as a slayer of vampires. She also receives help from the high school librarian, Rupert Giles (Anthony Stewart Head), who is a Watcher - the one chosen to train and guide slayers on their developmental path. In addition, new friends Willow Rosenberg (Alyson Hannigan - of American Pie fame) and Xander Harris (Nicholas Brendon) quickly uncover the truth of Buffy's destiny, and they often aid her in defending the world against evil forces…
The Buffy the Vampire Slayer DVD offers a number of exciting episodes including the series premiere "Welcome to the Hellmouth" in which Buffy and her mother arrive in Sunnydale, California, trying to escape their past. But Buffy quickly learns from the school librarian that the small town sits atop a "hellmouth" about to bring forth a master vampire. When her secret is revealed to new friends Willow and Xander, the three must work together to keep the master vampire from using his vessel to enter their reality… Other notable episodes from Season 1 include "The Harvest" in which Buffy prepares to face down the master vampire's henchmen so she can stop the harvest (a ceremony which will free the Master), and "I Robot, You Jane" in which Buffy and the Scooby gang discover a demon trapped in the school's computer network…

LITTLE KNOWN FACT
Bruce's ancestry was Chinese and German. His father was Chinese while his mother was of German-Chinese decent. Her mother was Chinese and her father was German.
WAY OF THE INTERCEPTING FIST
Jeet Kune Do, also known as Way of the Intercepting Fist, was Bruce Lee's personal martial art style. He developed it with the idea of being more flexible and practical with martial arts techniques. In doing so, he commonly considered the greatest martial artist of the 20th century.
A WARRIOR'S JOURNEY
His Jeet Kune Do instruction was a premium in the highest demand and commanded a staggering $275 an hour. His students consisted of some of Hollywood's most elite, including Kareem Abdul-Jabar, Steve McQueen, James Coburn, Joe Lewis and Chuck Norris.
LAST MAN STANDING
In many ways his celebrity gave him a parallel to the characters he portrayed as he was contantly being challenged by movie extras and other men who could get near him seeking to gain fame by beating him in a fight. Many tried, but he was never beaten.
GAME OF DEATH
His last film was "Game of Death" and was his only film to be shot with sound. His earlier films were shot without sound and the voices were later dubbed in.

FISTS OF FURY
Bruce Lee's ultimate secret was his lightning quick speed. To demonstrate he developed a trick where he had a person hold a coin and close his hand around the coin, but before they could do so Bruce would quickly remove the coin and replace it with another most often without the participate even realizing what had happened. When they opened their hand, it would be the new coin.
THE CURSE
As most know, Bruce Lee's death was deemed to be extraordinarily bizarre. Motivating many to be belove it was the work of "Oni", a Japanese term for demons or evil spirits. This curse apparently carried on to his actor son, Brandon Lee.

Bring Home a Real American Hero
After 40 years of fighting the bad guys, Hasbro's very own American hero, G.I. Joe, is finally coming home - in the form of his very first full-length CGI feature film on DVD.
In "G.I. Joe: Valor Vs. Venom," brought to you by Paramount Home Entertainment and Hasbro, the popular character sets out to protect the world from complete destruction. Once again he faces off against the evil Cobra, who has unleashed an army of unstoppable soldiers with fierce battle skills.
The leader of this formidable army is none other than the infamous Venomous Maximus, a creature made using the DNA of G.I. Joe's own Commander, General "Hawk" Abernathy, as well as that of some of the most terrifying creatures in the universe. In order to defeat Cobra's army and save his own Commander from this chilling fate, G.I. Joe needs to summon all of his scientific and heroic skills.
Marking the 40th anniversary of the G.I. Joe character, the DVD features tons of special features for his loyal fans, including a trading card game guide, a CD-ROM game and a behind-the-scenes glimpse of the movie's creation.
You can also scroll through character profiles, groove to a Valor vs. Venom music video and check out a drawing board-to-film comparison.
If you're doing the math, G.I. Joe debuted in 1964 as an 11 1/2- inch doll for boys that had 21 moving parts. After the movie "The Story of G.I. Joe" was released, he became the world's first "action figure."
While the character's challenges most often dealt with the evil Cobra Commander, G.I. Joe was also called upon in 1992 to help the Drug Elimination Force combat the growing drug problem. In-school programs were launched using the character to teach kids about the dangers of drug use.
Filled with history, as well as important lessons for kids of all ages, G.I. Joe has continued to reinvent and modernize himself throughout the years, without losing sight of his main mission - to protect the world from evil.
Now you can take home this timeless character in "G.I. Joe: Valor vs. Venom" to share with future fans of the ever-evolving G.I. Joe, who is still up for the challenge of educating the young and old.
In stores now, "G.I. Joe: Valor vs. Venom" is rated PG and has a retail price of around $20. - NU

Braveheart (DVD) Review
Long before The Passion of the Christ, Mel Gibson directed another cinematic masterpiece, Braveheart. Filmed against the backdrop of majestic mountains and rolling meadows, it tells the historically-based (yet not entirely accurate) story of William Wallace, a common man’s warrior who led the Scottish people in rebellion against King Edward I, also known as “Longshanks”. Written by Randall Wallace, an American tourist fascinated with a Scottish statue of his namesake, the script collected dust in Hollywood for over a decade before Gibson made the brilliant decision to put it on the big screen. Just like The Passion, it’s a decision he would not regret…
Set in the 11th Century, Braveheart catalogues the struggle of Scottish serfs who labor under the brutal oppression of English occupation forces. Amidst these terrible conditions, William Wallace (Mel Gibson) falls in love with Murron MacClannough (Catherine McCormack). Insistent on not sharing his wife (a proclamation by the king gives local rulers “first-night rights” to new brides) Wallace secretly marries Murron. Nevertheless, an English knight assaults her, sparking a fight with Wallace. Fleeing the village, Wallace believes Murron has escaped and will soon meet him at a secret rendezvous point. But Murron is captured and executed by the king’s emissaries.
Angered by his wife’s murder, Wallace instigates a local rebellion, slaughtering all the king’s loyalists in his village. As his rebellion grows, a distraught Longshanks (Patrick McGoohan) dispatches his fabled Northern Army to destroy it. But the heroic Wallace delivers a stirring speech to rouse his men, while deploying an ingenious battlefield trick to defeat the king’s cavalry.
With the power and legend of Wallace growing day by day, Longshanks relies on his daughter-in-law, Princess Isabelle (Sophie Marceau) to broker a truce. But Isabelle’s power is limited, and Wallace realizes his people can only win freedom if backed by the Scottish nobles. Their appointed leader is Robert the Bruce (Angus MacFadyen) who vacillates between his own idealistic views and his father’s pessimistic pragmatism. Will the nobles join with Wallace? Will the Scots win their freedom? Only history tells us the answer…
With elaborate costumes, vivid battle scenes, and a noble hero as its focal point, Braveheart is more than your typical run-of-the-mill action movie. Part history, part Hollywood heroism – its timeless idealism strikes a cord with every viewer. In fact, the movie itself led to a revival in nationalistic pride that fueled the successful Scottish independence movement of the 1990s. It’s a testament to the strength and character of the real life William Wallace. A thousand years later, his enduring legacy continues to transform the European landscape, and Mel Gibson captures the noble warrior’s passion with an awe-inspiring Academy Award-winning masterpiece…

Blue Collar Comedy Tour (DVD) Review
Among all the comedies available today, the Blue Collar Comedy Tour ranks number one in the "must see" category. Few comedians can find an audience among a broad range of demographic groups, and with varying tastes among individuals, it's quite difficult to find universally entertaining people. But Blue Collar Comedy Tour showcases four stand-up comics of such ability. The stand-up routines are filmed in Phoenix with intermittent features on the exploits of each of the men as they travel the country on their popular comedy tour. Opening up with all four men fishing in a lake, amazingly even the conversations between these men are hilarious and entertaining. What then could we expect when they take the stage? Only the best of modern redneck, working man comedy…
One of the rising stars of stand-up, Ron White brandishes his liquor and tobacco drenched persona along with a loveable sarcasm to produce one of the better comic routines of the decade. White chronicles his 9-minute plane ride to Phoenix which almost ended in tragedy when the plane was forced to turn around in mid-flight due to equipment trouble. But the event didn't phase the alcohol-induced outlook of White who advises the passenger next to him (a man who has something to live for, unlike White) that if one engine goes out, the other will take them right to the scene of the crash. And to top it off, they'll beat the paramedics by thirty minutes…
White's act is well followed by Larry The Cable Guy, a redneck's redneck who lives by the catchphrase "Get 'r done!" Speaking in a redneck dialect that borders on another language, Larry The Cable Guy is a barrel of laughs for any American who loves apple pie. Providing unique insight into the world at large, his audience is presented with the great conundrum of the dog dish water purifier (among other things). Why should he buy a water purifier for an animal that eats its own crap? If you're unfamiliar with this guy's routine, you need to pick up a copy of the Blue Collar Comedy Tour DVD just for him alone (or for that matter - any of these comics merit a full-length DVD by themselves).
Beginning the second half of the movie is Bill Engvall, a comic who takes a more well-spoken, family man approach to his routine. I first saw Bill on The Tonight Show when I was ten years old. He delivered the best stand-up routine I've ever seen, and I still remember much of it word-for-word to this day… Central to the routine was his trademark tagline "Here's your sign" (referring to a "stupid sign" handed out to people who make dumb remarks). Just like his colleague Jeff Foxworthy, Engvall has managed to keep that tagline not only going, but while inventing a hilarious treasure trove of new material. This guy is just plain funny…
Rounding out the final one-man routine is Jeff Foxworthy, perhaps the most famous of the crowd due to his widely promoted "you might be a redneck if…" jokes. Foxworthy starts off with a standard routine that's really funny (this part of his career has been widely overlooked), but then he naturally moves into the part of the routine that people love to hear - the redneck jokes. My favorite of the whole Blue Collar Comedy Tour DVD is his line "If a beaver bites off your nipple, you might be a redneck". Based on a true story, you simply have to watch Blue Collar Comedy Tour in order to understand just how hilarious that one is…
But the funniest part of the Blue Collar Comedy Tour DVD is when all the comics are finished with their individual routines and they gather together on stage to tell personal stories to the audience. Each story keeps the belly laughs rolling, and each comic has his moments, but Ron White steals this part of the show with his "tater salad" story. Recounting the story of his recent drunk in public arrest (he was actually drunk in the bar - they threw him into public), White tells the tale of his rise from a small town in Texas to a life replete with criminal aliases such "tater salad" and his fathering of a child named "tater tot". You just have to it to really enjoy it!
With a host of talented funnymen, the Blue Collar Comedy Tour DVD is grade-A entertainment. Certain to be an enduring classic for years to come, this is one comedy film you don't want to miss…

Set for release on March 30, 2007, Blades of Glory from Dreamworks is a sports comedy directed by Josh Gordon and Will Speck and Produced by Ben Stiller.
Will Ferrell and Jon Heder are the lead "pair", who exploit a loophole to do their act in this movie - which is to "Kick some Ice".
So, welcome to the world of competitive figure skating - and all its passion and power generated by an unlikely pair who aim to steal the trophy, beating the odds. Two men skating together -- Chazz Michael Michaels (Will Ferrell) and Jimmy MacElroy (Jon Heder) - become the first male pair in the history of figure skating!
As aintitcool.com states, 'figure skating for the first time ever is finally watchable. Also, hilarious.
Blades of Glory is about two rival figure skaters (Ferrell and Heder) who after a fight with each other in front of 30,000 fans, have their gold medals stripped from them and are banned from competitive skating for a lifetime.'
Three years down the line, one is many pounds heavier while the other is still girlish, but still not "hot". Both agree to put aside their differences as well as their similarities - they're both men! --and exploit a loophole (created exclusively for the movie) that would allow them to compete in the pairs figure skating category.
This category is, of course, usually reserved for opposite-sex couples and this duo must go face-to-face with fierce competition from rivals far more experienced at the art, such as Stranz (Will Arnett) and Fairchild (Amy Poehler), the unrelentingly competitive reigning champion pair.
'Amy Poehler and Will Arnett (as evil brother and sister figure skaters) manage to steal almost every scene they're in. There are some really great moments including a hilarious ice skate chase and some very funny ice routines (that i won't spoil). The ice skating was never boring. And the costumes are as funny as the people wearing them, especially the outfits given to Poehler and Arnett. Also, Jenna Fischer has never ever looked as hot as this. Purr-Rawrr.'
This very funny movie was shot in both Los Angeles, California and Montreal, Quebec (Canada).
